Description:
Whatever music floats your boat. Do you listen to techno or classical while you program? There is no doubt that music can influence how we feel or think to some degree, so how does it affect you, and what do you listen to? Plus, music is based on math and timing, so it is definitely connected in a sense to technology and math and deserves a place here in a geek community.

Geek metalheads? ( 50 replies )
Are there any? Or is that an oxymoron? I personally enjoy heavy music: ranging from Rammstein and Rage against the Machine , all the way to Pantera and Led Zeppelin. In my country at least, the metalhead stereotype brings images of long hair, unruly behaviour , mosh pits and drunken brawls. Something that most \"intellectuals\" would turn their noses up to. Well? ...Click Here | By CircleA

Indie ( 9 replies )
Anyone here like indie? I know that's a broad genre, but I've stumbled into some of my favorite bands with that as their description. One of those, The Animal Collective, have one of the most ridiculously happy and up beat song I've heard in a while. Grass, by Animal Collective. What are your favo...Click Here | By CamouflageNoise

Shuzak Theme ( 5 replies )
Well how about it? Poss was making one but hes been busy lately. Want to try just collaborating one? I figured it'd work like the contest: every line someone submits, it's voted with karma, line by line stanza by stanza. People come up with several lines and from those, one is chosen to become the next one. We were thinking a rap, since i'm forcing poss to do the music since I'm not that good at writing music, but this is assuming people are up fo...Click Here | By Eclipse, Yue

Current Favorite CD, Desciption ( 5 replies )
I'm really just looking for some new stuff to get into, but I always like it better when I go into it with a little description. For me: Menomena: Friend and Foe - So I listened to this CD a while back and it didn't make an impact until just recently when somehow I got a snippet of it stuck in my head. To me, this disc is a fragmented collection of hooks that really represents the future of good songwriting to me. A close listen reveals that the songs were constructed digitally...Click Here | By nopundittenet

Once again, I have spent far more time than I have any reasonable right to on Youtube, and I have stumbled upon something amusing (or perhaps it only seems amusing after having spent several hours staring at a computer screen...) Anyway, this is a good one for my fellow posthumanists: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnreVTKtpMs&NR...;Click Here | By Ati
