Once, I was working at one of those phone centers where they take catalog orders for dozens of different mail-order companies. Each of us had a cubicle and a little Dell running Windows 2000.
During a slow day, I was showing off to some of my buddies how I could bypass the desktop lockdown policies on my workstation by associating a filetype with cmd.exe and then opening the file from my browser, thus yielding a command line that wasn't affected by my user policy.
