| I have a question about copyright infringement. Recently a website i sold a script had someone steal the script i sold them. So now another website is using my script without paying for it. How easy would it be to stop that website using my script. Can it be done? I have proof that i made it, i just don't know anything about the legal side of it. Any help and advice would be great, i really want to sue their asses over this and get the website taken down because they are making money from something i made. |

| I don't think it would be easy for you stop the website from using your script. Once it is on their servers, they have a copy. You would have to remove it from their servers, which is illegal. You could take the mature approach and try to contact the website and tell them your situation. They might be willing to work something out with you, payment or w/e. I would suggest talking to them before taking them to court and before taking them to court, be sure to discuss everything with a lawyer. | |||||

| You would likely have to have some sort of copyright or patent on the script (not sure which one you'd need in this case), if you didn't then you don't have much of a way to determine that you wrote it first. I'd chock this up to a lesson learned. | |||||
