| Hi guys, Welcome to lesson 2 of the memory gym. this lesson is going to be an extension of the first lesson with the memory principles. in this lesson we are going to learn how to link items together and put those memory principles to work. But Firstly we have an exercise to get us in the write state of mind. This lesson is going to have some brain strain on you guys but don't worry you will unlock you imagination with this lesson. Exercise: If you had the original Mona Lisa Painting, What would you do with it? write your ideas ona peice of paper. You got 2 min to do this. Scoring: 3-5 beginner 5-10 Intermediate 10-20 Advanced 20+ Memory Master The secret to an exercise like that is to stop making any logical connections with the subject but to let your imagination drift and take you on a journey. Just let yourself go and let your Imagination do the work for you, not you do the work for you imagination. The point of the previous exercise was to unlock you imagination because we are going to need it alot on this lesson. Now the Link System is a system used for memorizing anything. it is a system that uses links between items or what ever you are going to memorise but is mostly used with words. Making links between what ever you are going to remember you make a little story. to get you familiar with these links or the proper word is associations im going to give you some sample associations. using these you will be able to make a story but these are my own your own association will be more powerful to you. I hope you have read lesson one because if you havnt stop right here and go and read lesson one and learn those principles there because we will be using all of those here. the following are some sample associations: Sample Associations: 1. Smashing things together 2. Sticking things together 3. Pulling things together 4. Wrapping things together 5. Sticking things into each other 6. Stacking things on top of each other and the list goes on and on. YOUR OWN ASSOCIATIONS ARE MORE POWERFUL SO USE THAT IMAGINATION YOU POSSESS Now there are 20 words here. firstly try memorize them like you would normally do only looking at them once and try use the link system and the story below. first score yourself without using the link system you should score yourself out of 20. then score yourself using the link system out of 20 and compare the results i believe you should see a drastic boost. The words you have to memorize: 1. cucumber 2. sock 3. door 4. dance 5. calculator 6. calculus 7. bookshelf 8. Ambulance 9. soap 10. banana 11. memory 12. Fire extinguisher 13. Bear 14. chair 15. table 16. book 17. shuzak 18. paper 19. toast 20. tile Ok now time for our story to memorize the items linking each item together. try to live what im about to type below. try to see it, feel it, taste it, smell it. use all the memory principles. Ok where would you find a cucumber. I beleive in the fridge so imagine a huge CUCUMBER trying to get out of the fridge pushing itself out. when it comes out you see that it has got a SOCK on its head with smells really really bad. you immediately get this huge cucumber and ask him what is he doing. you start fighting with him and throw him. He smashes head first into your front DOOR. you see the cucumber has been knocked out so you start dancing but you suddenly see you are dancing on a huge CALCULATOR big as a rug. each move that you make a step on a number and the number displays on the screen on the calculator. note is the calculator solar powered or is it a scientific or a graphics calculator? after this incident you say to yourself that you are bored and you go to your room and you pull out a CALCULUS book. you see the symbols and the formula's jumping out of the book you try fighting them off and you end up hitting the BOOKSHELF. the bookshelf falls on you and your stuck. one of the calculus dudes calls the AMBULANCE for you. the ambulance officer is coming to rescue you when he suddenly start slipping, why? he has realised that his left foot was on a BANANA peel and his right foot was on a SOAP bar. he slips and smashes his head on the ground. you realize that he has lost his memory and doesn't even know who he is and what he is doing at your house. suddenly a fire breaks loose from the chemicals that got mixed in the ambulance officers kit. once of the calculus dudes quickly runs and calls backup . they go and get a FIRE EXTINGUISHER to put out the fire but instead of the white stuff that comes out a huge grizzly bear comes out. you say enough is enough what is happening and gain your strength. you lift the bookshelf off yourself and grab a CHAIR and smash it over the bear. the bear get unconscious and smashes head first into you TABLE. it makes a huge shattering noise just when the table was about to split in the middle you but a BOOK. This book stops the table from splitting in half and saves your life so your mum doesn't smack you. you decide to go onto your computer and share this story with everyone on SHUZAK. you find some interesting comments and you write them down on a piece of PAPER. you fell hungry after all that wrestling and fighting so you go and make some TOAST for yourself. you put the bread in the toaster but a fire breaks loose again due to you not putting the heat proof TILE underneath the toaster. there you go anathor adventure again. how did you go with that? my story sound really long doesnt it, what i write in paragraphs can be visualized by your brain in seconds. now go and write the items again and see how you go. compare your results. we all know that this story is impossible in reality. how would you have a cucumber come to life or a bear come out of a fire extinguisher. in your mind anything is possible let me know what you think of the lesson. i hope you enjoyed it and had a great time reading it. let me know if you need anything explained more clearly or more detailed im always happy to help bye for now Memory Master |

| guys i've been told by some guests that my story is stupid and dumb. the point of this story is supposed to be stupid and dumb so the items can be more memorable. if you read lesson one you will see what i mean | |||||
