Hi,
I am an EE also. Analog Devices has a really cool new chip for measuring complex impedance. I would like to see a device that measures the complex impedance of two counter-rotating beakers of water (probably stirred magnetically). Any difference in complex impedance could be used to measure subtle energy emitted by the earth or by people who have a reputation of being able to heal others.
You would need a microcontroller to interface to it - just about any would do. My personal favorites are from Microchip, and also the PSoC chips from Cypress. I am using the PSoC in my own project.
