Okay, I'm merely an ad man, but I thought up this visualization problem for myself a few years ago and promptly was in above my paygrade.
Pardon if it is simply just so wrong and/or fundamental as to be completely laughable.

BEC = Dark Matter?

The last post in this community was over a month ago, so I figured it was time to spice Shuzak up with some neat physics.
As I was trolling www.arxiv.org, I came across this paper: http://www.arxiv.org/abs/0705.4158 . It discusses the possibility of Bose-Einstein condensate(BEC) as being what is behind dark matter. I personally think this is a great idea since I don't quite buy the whole WIMP thing. I like stuff that we can at least understand to a point.

320 EeV?!?!? (paper discussion)

This is an experimental thread. There is an article available on arXiv (www.arxiv.org), numbered astro-ph/9410069v1
it is about a 320EeV event detected by the fly's eye observatory in utah. this is an ENORMOUS amount of energy - a particle with a momentum literally equivalent to a major league fastball. the paper is entitled "in search of a source for the 320 EeV Fly's Eye Cosmic Ray".

aspiring or otherwise...
there seem to be a fair number of coding geeks etc on here. i'd like to see a solid showing from those of us who are educated in the ways of physics. there's strength in numbers, and i think it may lead to some interesting discussions to organize us a little more - which is why i created this community in the first place.
